ASIAN BROCCOLI Chinese broccoli is generally grown for the tasty sweet stalk and leaves. It generally has a narrower stalk, bigger leaves and a smaller flowerhead than its European cousins. (growing tips)

Chinese Broccoli (OP?)- The seed packet is all in Chinese, but from the picture this is a very thick tender stemmed broccoli with nice size leaves and yellow flowers. Looks exactly like the variety served at Dim Sum.
Flowering Pac-Choy
- Quick-bolting non-heading pac-choy for harvest just when flower buds open. Harvest stalks, leaves and buds 6-8" from top of plant and steam like broccoli. Delicious side dish.

Gai Lohn
- Chinese broccoli. Grows easily in heat or cold. Edible stalks, young leaves and flower buds. Eat anything above where the stem breaks easily. Fabulous with oyster sauce. Flowers white.

Yellow Flowering Pak Choi
- Bright green, tender juicy green stalks with yellow flower heads are a fantastic variety of chinese broccoli.

ASIAN CUCUMBER (growing tips)

Kyoto Yard Long - Japanese slender bright green cucumbers grow up to 30" long. Crisp, juicy flesh and small seed cavity make it an excellent choice for slicing, salads or fresh pickles. Heirloom.
Suyo Long Cucumber organic seed - Outstanding Chinese cucumber variety with spiny, ridged skin on a almost seedless long curved fruit. Crisp, tender and burpless.

ASIAN EGGPLANT These eggplant yield clusters of long narrow fruit that are generally more tender and earlier yielding than the standard Italian eggplant. A good choice for the PNW. (growing tips)

Chinese Eggplant (OP?) - Slender dark purple fruits up to 8 inches long.
Japanese Pickling Eggplant
organic seed - Easy to grow Japanese eggplant that bears slender dark purple fruits up to 16 inches long. Slightly curved fruit is sweet & mild flavored.

ASIAN GREENS (growing tips)

Bau Sin Asian Greens organic seed - Mild and sweet asian mustard green has glossy golden green leaves maturing to a beautiful folded heart prior to bolting. The stems of these flowering shoots are very sweet. The leaves are great for salads.
Celtuce/Stem Lettuce - Much like a lettuce-celery cross. Young leaves are great for salad and center stem may be used like celery.
Komatsuna organic seed - Also known as Tendergreen, this mild and tender mustard green with lettuce sized leaves is a typical Japanese vegetable. Young leaves, stalks and flower shoots are used extensively in stir-frys and salads. It is also popular as a pickled green in Japan.

Serifon Chinese Mustard - a hardy mustard with serrated edges and a mild mustard flavor. The mustard flavor intensifies with age. Also known as "Green in the Snow."
Shungiku organic seed - Asian edible chrysanthemum - "chop suey green." Young leaves and stems add exotic flavor to stir-frys, soups and salads. Sturdy, tender and mildly pungent.
Tatsoi - Small “spoon mustard” has thick dark green glossy leaves. Exceptional mild spinach/kale flavor is good fresh or cooked. Also looks beautiful in the garden.

PAC CHOY (growing tips)

China Choy Chinese Cabbage organic seed - A Chinese cabbage similar to Bok Choy but with a looser heading habit.
Ching Chiang Baby Pac Choi - Sturdier and stockier than most dwarf pac choi - Ching Chiang has smooth green leaves and a mild flavor.
Horse Creek Select Pac Choi organic seed - Extra succulent, delicious and rare pac-choi with white tight curled stalks.
Pac Choi - This is your good old standard Bok Choy. An excellent performer, often used in Asian cooking. Also can be used fresh in salads, adding a unique mild, sweet flavor.

CHINESE CELERY Chinese celery is smaller and more delicate than the common American celery. It has a more intense aromatic flavor and is resistant to cold. Its stems are thin, hollow and crispy.

Kin Tsai Chinese Celery (OP?) - Yellow green stems and leaves are tender and crispy. They are excellent in stir-fry and soup.
Mitsuba - Japanese fresh or cooking green, much like parsley, but with a unique flavor and 3 ft tall. Can be blanched to grow tender white celery-like stems.
