ASIAN EGGPLANT These eggplant yield clusters of long narrow fruit that are generally more tender and earlier yielding than the standard Italian eggplant. A good choice for the PNW. (growing tips)

Chinese Eggplant (OP?) - Slender dark purple fruits up to 8 inches long.
Japanese Pickling Eggplant organic seed - Easy to grow Japanese eggplant that bears slender dark purple fruits up to 16 inches long. Slightly curved fruit is sweet & mild flavored.

ITALIAN EGGPLANT Standard large eggplant most often used for Eggplant Parmesan, melange or stuffed eggplant dishes. To grow in Washington, you will need a cloche for the cooler days. (growing tips)

Imperial Black Beauty Eggplant organic seed - This 1910 heirloom is the garden favorite for Italian eggplants. 1-3 lb, purplish-black, glossy fruits. Each 18-24 inch plant yeilds 4-6 fruit. Great flavor and holds up well after being picked.
Rosa Bianca Heirloom Eggplant organic seed - Beautiful Italian heirloom variety w/ plump, slightly pleated, rosy-pink and creamy white fruit. Mild gourmet flavor with no bitterness.

Turkish Orange Heirloom organic seed - Brilliant orange 3 inch round fruits are well suited for growing in the PNW. Best eaten when lightly orange with green stripes. Sweet and fragrant. 15-25 fruits per plant.
