TOMATILLOS This relative of the tomato makes a fruit that looks like a green tomato and tastes like a citrusy green tomato. The fruit is protected from rain and rot by a papery husk. This is a beautiful ornamental plant with yellow flowers that soon become little light green lanterns (like a chinese lantern) and finally develop fruit within that lantern. (growing tips)

Giant Yellow Tomatillo - It's big, it's yellow. Mild flavored and juicy, the giant yellow makes an exceptional salsa verde.
Mexican Strain Tomatillo organic seed - This heavy yielding plant makes a very large fruit with a more savory flavor than other varieties.
Pineapple Tomatillo open pollinated organic seed - Unique yellow tomatillo with unusual sweet pineapple flavor. Short spreading multistemmed bush is highly productive.
Purple Tomatillo open pollinated seed - Traditional strain that develops to a rich purple. Plants have beautiful purple veining and yellow flowers. Plump fruit is the main ingredient in salsa verde.
Toma Verde Tomatillo - Green tomatillo variety adapted to a wide range of climates. Grows well in conditions similar to tomatoes, but can take more heat and drought.
Verde Puebla Tomatillo - Green tomatillo used in salsa verde. Also beautiful ornamental plant with yellow flowers.
